Hurry up & wait…
Hello everyone! I wanted to give a quick update for all of you since there has been a pretty drastic change to when I expect to be in Korea. Most of you were probably under the assumption that I would be arriving in Korea sometime next week (April 23rd) which was the plan when I wrote and shared my newsletter about a month ago. However things have not gone according to plan. The visa situation has proven to be move difficult than anyone in the process foresaw. Myself and the church in Korea are looking into all the options that are available to try and find one that will allow me to go to Korea and be able to focus on ministry. As I am writing this update I am waiting to hear back from the Korean immigration office via the church for exact details on any and all visas that may be possible. Which means, I currently have no idea when I will be going to Korea. At this point late May is the earliest possible time should a visa route be made evident sometime in the next week or so, but there is a chance I may be looking at sometime this summer should things continue to be uncertain.
I’m writing this on Easter weekend, we spend all of Lent waiting for what we know what comes tomorrow, we have a hope that we are looking forward to, but it’s not here… yet. I know that God has a plan and a purpose for the waiting. It’s not a plan that I understand and, honestly, isn’t one that I currently like, however I know that it is perfect and things are happening exactly how God wants it to go. I have questions that I don’t have answers to… yet. I have set goals that haven’t been met.. yet. I have had a lot of things not go according to my plan and its felt like there are very few consistent things in my life except for change. But we’re not stuck in a place waiting and wondering where our help and savior is going to come from. We know what happened on Easter morning when He rose from the grave and now we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called by Him. I know not only that my savior lives but that He is with me through all of this.
I wanted to give this short but important update to all of you and thank you for all of the support and prayers you have shown to me. You are a constant blessing and reminder of God’s love for me. Please continue to pray for me as all of these many things with visas, timing, and planning continue to be worked out. Most importantly, happy Easter! He is Risen!
In Christ, Hunter
